FAQ's

Important Reminders

  •  During the ceremony, please put away any cell phones or cameras. We have the most wonderful professionals that are there to capture every moment, and we'll share the photos with everyone! We'd love to look back and see your faces and not your devices.

  • Our reception is dinner party style! We can't wait to celebrate with our favorite people in life! Please enjoy all the events, activities, and each other's company. Non-alcoholic drinks will be served at the venue, and kindly ask that no outside alcohol to be brought at the venue.

  • In our RSVP page, you'll be able to see each individual guest in your party! Unfortunately, due to venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones. Your invitations are extended to the people named in the RSVP.

  • To enter the reception venue, you'll enter through a security gate. Enter through the "Visitor/Guest" line, and simply tell the security that you're here for the wedding of Jerika & Gus. No need to give an ID or Driver's License.

  • If you need help with accommodations or interested in staying in San Jose, please reach out to us directly!

Wedding Ceremony

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will start at 1:00pm, please try your best to be early as doors will close shortly after the ceremony begins. (Just try to beat Jerika there).

How is parking at the chapel?

Parking is free and there's plenty of space for all of our guests.

Are there any kind of religious customs we need to observe?

Yes! For seating, there are two sides, a right side for female guests and a left side for male guests. At certain times, we will be prompted by the Minister to stand and pray. We understand not all guests are church members, and kindly remind all guests to please observe the solemnity of the occasion. Yes, we can cheer when we kiss! Or laugh if Gus is crying.

What do you mean "dress appropriately"?

At the chapel, please observe the solemnity of the venue and occasion and refrain from wearing shorts or showing midriffs. Ours moms will provide shawls just in case!

Can all the guests take photos with the couple after the ceremony?

Yes! Due to time constraints, it will most likely be by groups, with family being prioritized.

Break Time

How long is the gap between the ceremony and reception?

The gap will be roughly 2 hours, depending on how long you stay for pictures at the chapel. The ceremony and pictures will end around 2:30-3:00pm, and our reception festivities begin at 5:00pm.

We really apologize for the inconvenience!

How far is the reception from the chapel?

The drive is roughly 15 minutes without traffic, however with the wedding date being a Thursday afternoon, please expect about a 5-10 minute addition to your travels with the traffic.

How early can I go to the reception for mocktail hour?

Doors will open for mocktail hour/hors d'oeuvres hour at 5:00pm.

What should I do during the gap time?

We're glad you asked! Come back to this page in August for some of our favorite bites & sights. :)
